Error "-998" is a licensing issue (998)
- The product is not licensed or
- The license is expired or
- The build version is higher than the license will support
C:\Program Files (x86)\activePDF License Manager\APLicManager.exe
Please Note: servers running virus scan software can experience interference with the program blocking access to the ProgramData license files which is required to run our software. Have your IT Department check to see if the target server is running virus scan software. These programs can cause trouble with our software.
IT Systems will need to put the ActivePDF components into the antivirus' white list. After this is done reboot the server and manually restart any ActivePDF service. This should resolve your issue.
