- During PDF conversions, page objects and fonts are now compressed by default, resulting in output PDFs with smaller file sizes. Use the new SetPDFCompression method to turn this feature on or off. This setting is also available in the WebGrabber Configuration Manager.
Other updates to WebGrabber API
The default values for the new TextWidthMetrics and WriteTextFormat properties are now set to 1, and use design metrics to determine character widths. In the last release, their default value was set to Undefined (- 1).
Fixed Bugs
ID # | Description | Resolution |
14797 | Native engine: When HTML contained CSS with the page-break-insideattribute set to avoid, the setting was ignored. | The code was updated to check for page-break-inside: avoid CSS settings, and this resolved the issue. Note: Page breaking is still an issue in the output PDF if the HTML source contains tables with CSS set to: page-break-inside:avoid. |
15238 | These file-specific bugs were also fixed. | These issues are now resolved. Please contact customer support for further information. |
15387 | In the last release, the default values for the new TextWidthMetrics and WriteTextFormat properties were set to Undefined (- 1) to determine character widths. In some cases this setting caused issues with character spacing. | The default values are now set to Design Metrics (1). |
